The International Judging Panel

Teams will be judged on the following criteria:

  • Creativity and Innovation – how creative and innovative is the idea?
     
  • Costing – have costs been adequately considered, calculated and explained?
     
  • Marketing – How effective is the marketing strategy? How will it be marketed to the target audience?
     
  • Communication – how well is the idea presented?  Was the presentation delivered effectively within the 3 minute timescale?

The weighting of each category is 25%.

As part of the challenge, each team will be required to:

  • Produce a mini business plan, up to 2 pages in length
     
  • Produce a working model of the product
     
  • Deliver a 3 minute elevator pitch1

The plan must be submitted via e-mail no later than 10.00 BST and the presentation must be uploaded no later than 11.30 BST.
